Bought a pack of these to try out for an EDC (Everyday Carry Kit). They are very bright when first snapped and they definitely glow for more than 12 hours! They probably won't be bright enough to actually light your way after 12 hours, but in an emergency situation the remaining glow could definitely help a searcher find you in the dark. Would buy again.
